Career profiles

Lauren Davidson, Executive Money Editor

I joined TMG in 2014, one year out of journalism school in New York, for the chance to work at a major national newspaper and learn from experienced journalists. Eleven years later, I’m still here. I've had five promotions in that time, which has kept the daily challenges fresh and interesting.

I'm proud of the quality of our journalism and how we’re always striving to improve and innovate, especially in digital publishing. The most rewarding part of my job is the two-way connection with our audience and feeling that the work we do makes a positive difference to people's lives.

Jess Carpani, Executive Lifestyle Editor, Editorial

I started at TMG as a Lifestyle Apprentice in 2016, and it's been a whirlwind ever since. The apprenticeship gave me hands-on experience and access to some of the best in the industry. Now, as Executive Lifestyle Editor, I’m proud of the digital storytelling we deliver and the opportunities I've had to grow.

Previously, I’ve been part of the Women in Leadership programme, had career coaching, and launched our Life section in the app. Seeing our work make an impact and the support I’ve received along the way keeps me excited for what’s next.
