Our creative teams are responsible for design across all our platforms.

You could be selecting photography, creating an entertaining animation, presenting complex information in graphics or designing the visuals for a brand new product. Whatever your role, you’ll help ensure we continue to engage our audiences visually.

Our teams

Digital Product Design

This multidisciplinary team includes designers, developers and researchers working on products used every day by millions of people.

Experimentation and learning are at the core of the product design team. As technology transforms the publishing industry, you’ll strive for consistency, quality and innovation in everything you do.

Emerging Formats

This team’s aim is to drive brand awareness and core engagement with new audiences across new platforms, often with experimental and bespoke design.

As a member of this team, you could be working on daily animations and illustrations for Snapchat, The Telegraph’s website and app, weekly print columns, mini film series or ad campaigns for a diverse range of audiences.

Graphic Journalism

Graphic journalists communicate complex narratives and information in simple, accessible and engaging visuals.

Your projects will vary greatly, depending on the stories, whether that’s creating a series of icons, translating complex data into meaningful infographics or producing compelling narratives around data sets.

Magazines

Our award-winning magazines feature the latest interviews, features, fashion, lifestyle, luxury, food and culture.

The design team provides creative suggestions for photographic and illustrative commissions, and supports the art desk to ensure our content is powerfully projected online. You’ll collaborate with editors, picture editors, researchers, stylists and sub-editors to further bolster our magazines’ success.

Marketing and Brand Design

The marketing and brand design team is our in-house creative studio, and its mission is to promote our commercial products.

You’ll help engage our customers with messages that are relevant and on brand. Drawing on your creative flair, you’ll design attractive marketing materials that draw our audience’s attention to the vast range of services and products we offer.

Newsprint Design

In this team we create compelling page layouts that help tell our stories in a direct and accessible way. Based at the heart of the newsroom, you’ll work with editors across desks as diverse as news, business, sport, food and gardening.

From designing the front page of the newspaper to commissioning illustrations or debating which pictures are the most captivating, you’ll need to respond to the challenges of the fast-paced news agenda.

Lucy Pendlebury, Senior Product Designer (Subscriptions)

Since I started here in 2017, I’ve been involved in a number of interesting projects, such as launching the subs shop page and helping to evolve the overall subscription product design.

There’s a real can-do attitude in our team and my manager’s been so supportive. I’ve had plenty of training opportunities to improve my design skillset and there’s a clear progression path, too. It’s a very positive and friendly place to work.
