Career profiles

Ishaan Bose Verma, Senior Product Designer

I joined TMG in 2023, drawn by its journalism legacy and its design focus. What’s kept me here are the people and the projects – the team is supportive, and the work is both challenging and rewarding. Moving from graphic to product design has been a valuable learning experience, and I’ve developed my UI/UX skills along the way.

A key achievement has been contributing to the launch of the Latest and Life sections of the app, which are now central features. What I appreciate most is the opportunity to experiment and see my designs have a tangible impact on the user experience.

Miguel Bobiles, Product Designer

I was drawn to TMG because of the high standards in its website and app design. TMG’s commitment to evolving with new technologies made me eager to join the team. What keeps me here is the supportive environment within the product design department, where I’ve made lifelong friends and love the collaboration, especially in the subscription design team.

I’d recommend TMG to any new designer - it’s a great place to grow, with excellent support from managers and mentors. One of my favourite projects was modernising the subscription experience, seeing my designs come to life and improving user experiences is incredibly rewarding, and the team’s flexibility ensures a great work-life balance.

Sean Wyatt-Livesley, Infographic Designer

I joined TMG for the fast-paced environment of a top news organisation and the chance to level up my data visualisation skills. What keeps me here are the amazing people - especially in product and design - and the exciting challenges that come with the job. I’ve loved learning new tools for map creation and data visualisation.

There are so many experienced people here, and it's great to use that wealth of knowledge to grow my skills. A highlight was working on the election, where our graphics team created clear, data-driven visuals that cut through the noise for our readers. Knowing that my work reaches millions and contributes to trusted journalism is incredibly rewarding.
