Our teams

Commercial Editorial

Our teams of commissioning editors and sub-editors sit across our four content hubs: Lifestyle, Sport, Travel and Business & Finance.

We work to the same journalistic standards as the editorial team, and enjoy the scope to develop content that is tailored to our clients, across a range of platforms. As an editor, you’ll be involved in everything from sourcing talent and organising interviews to commissioning writers. Our sub-editors play a vital role, ensuring our clients’ content is accurate and consistent.

Creative

We generate all our own creative content, so join us and you could be involved at every stage, from brainstorming creative ideas and pitching them to client agencies, to developing campaigns.

Whether you’re a web or print designer, photographic editor or video producer, you’ll enjoy diversity of work, the scope to push your creativity and the chance to develop campaigns for high-profile brands.

Production

In the production team, you’ll help deliver creative campaigns to our audiences in the most engaging way possible. It’s a hugely varied role as we develop all kinds of content, from print, digital and long-form digital to events and even online games.

Join us and you’ll enjoy the challenge of delivering a range of high-quality content every day to meet both challenging deadlines and our clients’ needs.

Project Management

As a project manager, you’ll be the link between our branded content teams and the client or agency.

This involves ensuring the brief is translated accurately for the creative team, presenting initial ideas to the client, and seeing through the campaign delivery to meet deadlines. Naturally, you’ll need to be well-organised, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage clients’ expectations.

With support from your manager and colleagues, you’ll also have access to a variety of training and development opportunities through our Academy. Covering a range of personal and professional skills, our courses enable you to develop an enjoyable and rewarding career.

Hannah Hopkins, Multimedia Commissioning Editor (Travel)

The organisation's constantly changing and innovating, so there’s always something new to learn. And even though it’s team-based, you also get to work independently. This means anyone can make a hands-on contribution and you have the opportunity to take on new projects outside your day-to-day role.

I really enjoy the informal, creative and collaborative atmosphere. Anyone can pose questions to the senior management team, and others’ opinions are always considered.

Rachael Adams, Commercial Editor (Business, Finance & Technology)

The Telegraph is a great brand for any journalist to work for, but I was particularly attracted to its strong heritage in finance journalism - and the fact that Spark is one of the biggest and most successful branded content arms within a national newspaper.

The branded content team is so talented and fun to work with. In my particular role, what makes it great is the creativity - doing brainstorms, coming up with content ideas, working with other teams and developing content for a number of different media.
